I just want to know if the single edits or Big Generator version is much different than the originals.

They played the single edit of "America" last night on Rockline. It sounded like the mix was much different . . . Jon's vocal was real dry compared to the old 1972 mix.

They also played "Roundabout" and "SSOTS", and those sound cool. I might buy this just for the acoustic disc.

To my damaged ears the version of America on Ultimate Yes sounds identical to the single edit that's on the Close to the Edge re-master.
But the new edit of Soon is different from the one that's on the Relayer re-master -- I'm listening to it now but all I can tell you at this point is that it's longer...
I'm not familiar enough with the original 90125/BG material to tell you if there are any differences here, except that the liner notes say that the remix of Big Generator was released as a 12 inch promo single.

The sound quality is excellent, but Discs 1 & 2 are still just yet another compilation of studio material (no live cuts). Disc 3 is the jewel, with the acoustic versions of Roundabout and SSotS. Show Me is also acoustic, very nice, Australia is a solo acoustic version of the song from Steve's first solo album, and New World Symphony is some nice bass work from Chris. All good stuff but only 20 minutes in total!

The acoustic, unplugged material is worthy to listen although I' ve listened only to the trailers. There is one song which is very different from the original and that is "Roundabout". It swings thanks to another metrum and the voice of John is from a superb quality."South side of the sky" is also very interesting because the lack of the synthesisers of Rick but he has replaced it by a virtuose pianopart. "Show me" is for me quite a weak song, because its simplicity but I can imagine that new Yes-listeners will appreciate this love song. The 2 instrumentals (theme from Dvoraks "Symphony from the new world" and "Australia") are similar to me like the instrumentals from "Fragile" and are personal products from individuals.
