Just finished listening to 90214, which came in the mail today.

Love it. Love, love, love. Loooove it!

I am thrilled to have this CD because it is a privilege to be able to hear how TR's work evolved. Definitely already my favorite or 2nd favorite solo Trevor work. I worship him, I bow down at the alter of Trevor (even though nice Jewish girls aren't supposed to worship idols -- whoops), I grovel at his feet, aw, heck, I have lustful thoughts about him, too. The more I learn about him, the more I hear his music, the bigger my crush gets. What's a girl to do? (see Kidnapping thread)

My kids like it, too.

Everybody go buy it!

Did I mention that I love it? :valintine *SIGH*

What surpised me most about this album was how many years into the future Yes was still picking tracks from it. Isn't there are rough version of "Miracle of Life" on there?

Yes! And I agree, it is amazing to think that a few of the songs were rattling around for so long before they made it to the show (so to speak). Seems like he really wants to feel a song is 100% before releasing it.

Isn't it AWESOME!!!! I usually listen to 90124 or Rabbitt while I am in the car.

The "newer" songs were not original demos back in the early eighties. So, Miracle is actually a demo from the 90's. Trevor just added a few extra songs. The Talk/Union stuff. Isn't Walls listed as a 1989 or 1990 demo? That song kicks butt all around. Demo and Talk versions. Oh wait. They pretty much are the same!! LOL!!

Definite CD needed in your collection!!

It's a good CD; "The Miracle of Life" on this rocks a lot more than the version on Union, and has more spirit. The guitar solo based on the classical piece is good, though I agree with TR that it would of seemed out of place on Big Generator. The instrumental version of "Where Will You Be" was nice but it was pretty much the Talk version without Jon singing so I wish they would have replaced it with something we havn't heard (That 20 minute version of "Time"!). Walls with Roger Hodgson is nice, and he sounds a LOT like Jon, even though if you listen to Supertramp I guess that isn't too much of a suprise. At the very end of the song someone starts singing a Beatles song, but I'm not sure if it's TR. One of the funny things about this CD is how a couple of the early demo songs sound a lot like Foreigner, and when TR came to the US before 90215 he met with record executives and they told him to make music like Foreigner, and he told them he didn't want to do that. "Make It Happen" is a song I WISH they would have done for 90125. It is a great song with some great TR guitar on it. "Changes" in every form I have heard, including this version, is awesome. "Would Feel My Love" is a really nice ballad by TR; TR is just a great ballad writer in general (prime example is one of my favs, "I'm Waiting" from Talk). One other thing you realize listening to this is what Trevon Horn did as a producer on 90215, the additions he did to TRs work; I guess those 2 fought a lot but I think the final music that came out of it was awesome, with "Owner..." a perfect example of that.

A lot of musicians never get a chance to release behind-the-scenes music like this, so it is great TR got this chance. I also think this CD along with the other 4 from Voiceprint are testing the waters, so to speak, as far as TR releasing a new solo CD. It sounds like TR is excited to release one, and the last I read he has about half the material for one. With all the orchestral experience he has gained these past 10+ years I'm sure a new solo CD will sound different from "Can't Look Away", showing more growth but will have plenty of his master guitar playing. It would be great to have him hook up with Rick Wakeman too; those two on a CD???????? Beyond mind-blowing.............throw in Chris Squire and Alan White and call them Cinema!!!

Maybe Jon will stop by......

I think there are a bunch of us here waiting for Trevor to release another solo disc.

I love 90124, but there's an import version of 90124 with 14 tracks on it that I've been trying to get. It has 9 different songs not included on the original version of 90124. Now that's the one I want, and I will have it!

The tracks are:
1. One Track Mind
2. Hold On
3. It's Enough
4. Changes
5. Love Ain't Easy
6. Moving In
7. Who Were You With Last Night
8. Baby I'm Easy
9. Would You Feel My Love
10. Tonight's Our Night
11. Owner Of A Lonely Heart
12. I'm With You
13. Must Be Love
14. Don't Give In

I agree Mircle of life on this album kicks ass over the UNION cut. Too badthey didn't put it on that album. I have not heard about this IMPORT of this album.

They've already discontinued the 14 track album. If you want it you'll have to get it used. I'm trying to use some connections I have to get try and get it.

I'm waiting for 2 CD's of other demos Trevor used during the Cinema Sessions that someone is sending me. That should be arriving in the mail soon.

I was always interested in that album. Do you think it is something for me? I mean I'm not a big 90125 fan and I'm also not very into the Rabin era, but I'm really interested in those versions and how they developed.

Try to find a used copy; or maybe someone here would be willing to burn you a CD. (I am hopeless with computers.) My prediction is that you won't like the CD too much but will appreciate hearing it once, possibly twice.

90124... I can't stop listening to it. That, and the bonus cuts from the 90125 release. The Cinema-versions of It Can Happen, Make It Easy, and It's Over. This is the stuff I LIVE to hear. I'd read an interview once where Trevor said he'd love for people to hear the stuff he's got in his basement. So here it is. Just a little taste of the stuff that's in his basement collecting dust. How I wish we can have some more.

Now, I love the 90124 version of Walls--so much better, IMHO, and also the Miracle of Life on this is far better than the Union version. But then again, I could be biased because this stuff is PURE TREVOR, nobody else. Not that I don't like everyone else's input, it's just that when it's PURE Trevor, we know that the other members just sort of decorated the cake that Trevor baked. Does that make any sense at all? lol!

Best,
Mia

I don't think there is another version of 90124. That tracklist is the one Voiceprint originally said would be on the album, but it was changed fairly late on to the release we got.

The music's interesting, but the packaging and information is yet another atrocious Voiceprint botchjob.
