The Prog Rock band Dream Theater did a cover (medley) of some Yes songs (with Steve Howe as guest musician):

What songs were covered in that medley?

Machine Mesiah, Heart of The Sunrise, Close to The Edge, Siberian Khatru, Starship Trooper.

I've got it on a CD . . it goes for about 13 minutes and yes Steve is a guest player on it.

On the Once in a Livetime DVD, they actually show Steve on stage with Dream Theater. It was filmed at Ronnie Scott's in London, and the CD it's on is called Uncovered. They do a whole lot of covers on that, everything from Marillion and Tori Amos to Metallica. Definitely worth searching for on Ebay. And to see Steve and John Petrucci on stage was very cool!

DT sometimes pulls out the beginning of HOTS during their medleys, which they've shied away from the past few tours. But it was neat while it lasted.

Mike Portnoy & John Petrucci are huge fans of Yes. Often mentioning Yes on interviews.

When "The Grand Scheme of Things" (Steve Howe solo CD) came out, John Petrucci did a special review of it in "Guitar for the Practicing Musician" mag.

In their first home video (the one with the burning heart on the cover) there's footage of Mike meeting Alan White for the first time during the Talk tour.
